Care and Use of Cheyenne Coppercraft Garden Torches

Keep away from children. Use only outside away from flammables Only use with the steel ground stake firmly buried 12” in the ground Use only outdoor patio torch fuel. Never refuel while ignited. Fill to within ½ “ of the top. Pull the wick out from the top copper bushing and let it protrude ½ to ¾ “. Extra wick length causes excessive smoking. Blow or snuff out between uses. Allowing torch to burn out will blacken the wick and decrease its life. Always use “Tiki” brand fiberglass wicks, available at Solenberger’s Hardware In Winchester, VA.

Copper care:

Copper will darken to a brown or black in a short time outside. If your copper has darkened or become smeared and smudged from handling, use Nevr-Dull Wadding Polish to clean it. Most hardware stores carry this or can order it. It takes several minutes, but the rubbing of this cotton wadding dissolves the oxidation and allows a full luster to be restored to the copper. If once cleaned and polished and you wish to keep the bright copper shine, coat with Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel spray. Follow instructions on the can. Insure it is fully dry before using the torch. This should keep the brilliant copper luster at its peak for a season. If scratched use some of the abrasive paste polish to help clear up the blemishes. Copper is soft so care must be taken during storage and handling.
